Cartoon

Cartoons are everywhere. From your child’s favorite TV show to the funnies in the newspaper they dominate as one of the most frequently used art styles. The reason for this is because they are so versatile, they can be used to entertain children, mock a upcoming election or do something to completely express yourself.

They can range from bright flashy colors to pen-like black and white. They often are used to create animations, which consists of several thousand drawings being flashed in a continuous motion to create an illusion of movement. In America we mistakenly call this “Cartoon” when in reality it is Animation which uses the cartoon style. Never the less, animation plays a big roll in cartooning popularity. Most cartoons and animations were first used to entertain children but over time they gained potential to also be aimed at adult audiences also.
